At Sidekick Property Management, our goal is to help our tenants enjoy the rental homes they call home. Transitioning into and out of a property comes with a lot of unknown variables and question marks, and our team wants to be with you every step of the way.

Use the information below to help make your move a success. If you have questions after reviewing the details on this page, sign into the tenants portal to connect with us or simply give us a call: (888) 222-8125

Move-in Checklist

Congratulations on your successful application for one of our rental homes. Make your move-in a piece of cake by following the instructions outlined below.

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

The first month's rent check, along with your security deposit, both must be provided at the lease signing. Be sure to verify the amounts with us in advance.

Move-in Date & Inspection

You'll be provided with an official move-in date, inspection and key exchange information at the lease signing.

Utilities

As a tenant in a home we manage, you are responsible for all utilities and keeping your accounts in good standing. Please contact your providers immediately upon signing the lease to put the accounts into your name.

Move-out Checklist

We hope you've enjoyed your stay in a Sidekick Property Management rental home. Please keep the following in mind as you prepare to move.

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Your lease outlines the length of your stay, the official move-out date, and other pertinent information. Refer to these details before choosing to vacate.

If you are intending to leave your home, please provide us with written notice of your intent to move out at the end of the lease.

Property Condition

All rental homes need to be maintained in good condition. When you move out, you'll also need to take care of the following:

  • Rental Cleaning: The property must be thoroughly cleaned, with all belongings and garbage removed. Every room should be carefully sanitized and cleaned, including kitchens and bathroom spaces.
  • Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you are responsible for lawn care at your property, make sure to handle these chores once more immediately before vacating.
  • Repairs: If any damage has occurred during your stay, make every good faith effort to repair these issues. Broken glass, burnt light bulbs, and holes in walls should all be easy to resolve. For more substantial damage, speak with a member of our team to find an amicable solution.

Security Deposit

Your security deposit protects against issues like unpaid rent and property damage. If you return your rental to us in its original condition, the entirety of the deposit will be refunded to you.

Remember, these funds are not available to be used as a rent payment.
